Gold rates today: Latest updates on gold prices -- 4 Sep 2015

Gold rates were trading lower in major metros of India on Friday. In Mumbai market, prices of 24-carat gold per 10 gram declined by Rs 60 at Rs 26660 and rates of 22-carat fell by Rs 50 at Rs 25180.

                       
Gold held declines from a two-day losing streak on Friday, ahead of a crucial US jobs report as traders waited for clues about the timing of a Federal Reserve rate hike, reported Reuters. Gold prices on MCX rose on Friday. At 13:56 hrs MCX Gold October contract was trading at Rs 26520 up Rs 126, or 0.48 percent. The Gold rate touched an intraday high of Rs 26532 and an intraday low of Rs 26422. So far 4503 contracts have been traded. Gold prices have moved up Rs 367, or 1.40 percent in the October series so far.
