The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a flat note on Friday tracking Asian markets. Sensex opened 44.57 points, or 0.17 per cent, up at 26,003.20. Nifty opened 26.80 points up at 7910.60.
The 30-share index was trading at 26,008, up 50 points or 0.20 per cent. It touched a high of 26,035.57 and a low of 25,976.56 in morning trade.
The Nifty50 was at 7,898, up 15 points or 0.19 per cent. It touched a high of 7,910.60 and a low of 7,889.80 in the first 30 minutes of trade.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.30 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.38 per cent higher.
